Leftover Salmon who formed in Boulder Colorado in 1989 are the originators of the "Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass" genre. A style of music that blends bluegrass, rock, country, blues, jazz, and Cajun/Zydeco.

Drew Emmitt releases his third solo album, Long Road. Some of the hottest Americana, bluegrass, and jamband musicians around were recruited for the recording of Long Road. Each of the album’s tracks is full of energy, great singing, fiery playing and infectious melodies. Long Road features eight original songs and three notable covers (Supertramp’s “Long Way Home”, Marshall Tucker Band’s “Take The Highway” and Van Morrison’s “Gypsy In My Soul”).

Other projects going on this summer!

Catch the Salmon band members as they will be performing in a various of other projects throughout the summer months. Vince will be busy with Great American Taxi, Drew with the Emmitt-Nershi Band, Jeff Sipe can always be found somewhere behind the kit, Greg and Noam are touring with their new project the Punch Brothers, and Bill Mckay is busy with the Bill Mckay Band as well as a very special reunion show of Band du Jour.

The Band du Jour date will take place at the Fox Theatre in Boulder on July 5th. Featuring all original members Danny Schultz, Johnny O, Dave Weisbart, John "Curl" Nieland, and Bill!

Band du Jour rocked Boulder for many years in the late 80s and Early 90s, and we are thrilled to be getting back together for this wonderful night of music. Tickets available through the Fox.

Live Nation proudly presents LEFTOVER SALMON at the Fillmore Auditorium on Friday, October 31st. A Special Guest (TBA) will open the show. Showtime is 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Our fan ticketing will go on sale (HERE) tomorrow August 7th starting at 10am MST. The remaining tickets will be available thru ticketmaster starting Saturday August 9th.

After a four year hiatus, Leftover Salmon will again return to the Fillmore in Denver for its once traditional Halloween blowout. Following a summer full of festival dates, Leftover Salmon’s Halloween show will mark one of the very few stand alone performances by the band since taking a break at the end of 2004.

The band is also offering free music downloads to fans who sign up for the Leftover Salmon email list. The downloads feature tunes recorded during recent live performances. The current download is from the Salmon set at the Mile High Music Fest in Denver, which went down just last month. Sign up on the right side of this page to receive your instant download!

Summer Festival Season
This summer has been amazing. We have had a great time hitting the festival circuit and spending time with so many of our friends and fans. July was a busy month and now we have time to step back from Salmon for a bit, but will continue to tour with our other various projects.
Salmon will pick back up for our final festival of the summer, the Mulberry Mountain Harvest Fest in Ozark, AR. Here we will perform a full 2 set show on Friday, September 12th. We look forward to this event as we close out another great festival season!

As many of you already know, we launched a new Salmon fan site at www.myspace.com/leftoversalmonofficial back in June. This month we are launching another fan site at www.moboogie.net/leftoversalmon. Here you will fine exclusive video interviews with Drew and Vince from the Mile High Music Festival. Look for additional interview footage to be posted on moboogie.net in the near future.

Jam Cruise
Leftover Salmon will take to the seas this January on Jam Cruise. We are excited to be apart of this festival at sea and hope many of you will join us. Cabins are now on sale at www.jamcruise.com. The ship sets sale on January 4th from Fort Lauderdale, FL and returns on January 9th. Stops include Belize City, Belize and Costa Maya, Mexico. Book you cabin now as this event sells out annually!
